Welcome to River Valley Church. RVC is a multi-site church family seeking to Follow Jesus Together. As a non-denominational church, we are open to families and individuals from many backgrounds. We desire to simply follow the way of Jesus, share Biblical perspectives for real life situations, and communicate in a relevant way to all generations.
We invite you to come as you are to one of our many weekend worship service gathering times and locations. You will be welcomed with a smile, a cup of coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere. You have arrived at the right place and we couldn’t be more excited to meet you!
RVC is also the home of RVC Kids, a destination your children will want to attend every week. One of our mission statements is to “Empower the next” and we make the upcoming generation a priority. They are our future, and we are intentional about discipling them towards faith in Jesus.
You will also see this mission carried out in our weekly RVC YTH gathering for grades 6 through 12. We are passionate about investing in the next generation, while at the same time making room for them to make their own investment into the next. You will find our students empowered to serve in many roles throughout the RVC family from greeting you at our main services to playing in the worship band, teaching at RVC Kids and much more.
We also invite you into relationships with others. Weekend gatherings are a time to reconnect with friends and during the week we gather in Life Groups for deeper connections as we follow Jesus together. RVC is a place where you can encounter the Lord in settings for spiritual growth, encouragement, and relationships.
We believe in the Real God for real people… He has made the way for us to know Him through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Himself said, “I have come that you might have life, and have it more abundantly.” John 10:10. We embrace and celebrate this abundant life in Christ, and want to share it with as many people as possible, especially you. We can’t wait to see you soon.
The Bible We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
I Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21
The Trinity We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19, I Peter 3:18, John 15:26
Jesus We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutional and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
Mark 16:19, I Corinthians 15:3-4, I Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 4:14-16; 5:1-10; I John 2:1
The Crucifixion We believe that The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that all who by faith alone repent and believe in Him alone are justified (made righteous) by His shed blood.
Romans 3:21-28; 4:5, Ephesians 1:7; 2:8-10, 13, 1 Peter 1:18-19; 2:24
New Birth We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration (new birth) by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
John 3:3,7; 1 Timothy 3:4-7
The Holy Spirit We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells all believers, and by this indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
John 14:16-17; 16:13, Romans 8:5-11; 26-27, 1 Corinthians 2:12
The Resurrection We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
2 Thessalonians 1:5-10, John 5:29, I Thessalonians 4:13-18
Salvation We believe in the grace and forgiveness of our Lord Jesus. Every person, no matter how much they have broken God's commands in His Word and listed in these Statements of Faith, is deeply loved by God and is a potential child of God by receiving forgiveness of sins through faith in Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:11-13; 1 Timothy 1:12-17; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, John 1:12
Unity We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus.
John 13:35
